The appliance group is taken from City & Guilds' quick guide to qualifications and Gas Safe Register competence categories (version 5.0, December 2023), which names the group each qualification's categories cover, with appliance examples from the industry assessment requirements (Energy & Utility Skills, 2025). The title here is a plain description, not the official ACS title. ACS appliance assessments are taken alongside the core assessment (CCN1); check your certification body's documents for the exact scope.
